One of the world’s largest pension administration companies required a system that would allow its staff to manage the pensions of hundreds of firms, some with tens of thousands of employees. PNet is a business-to-business pension management software package that allows our client to implement its manual business processes in a web-based environment. Telepresence designed the system architecture, data model, and web-based workflow solution to implement their manual business processes. Our client would be responsible for maintaining the system after development, so we selected technologies that it was comfortable with. PNet was built using Oracle, C++, Microsoft IIS, and ASP, running on an NT server, with IE5 used to present XML-encoded data.
